When you reach the village of Riboux, you will find a car park on your right.
(S) From the car park, turn left and follow the D602 road for about 200 metres.
(1) Leave the road and cross the field on the right to take the small path that enters the woods. Keep left at the first intersection, then turn right at the next one. About 50 metres further on, turn left to join a track.
(2) Follow it to the right. Pass the entrance to Puits d'Arnaud on your right, then turn right at the cistern.
(3) Leave the path on your right, which you will take on the way back, and 50 metres further on, continue to the right to reach Jas de Frédéric.
(4) Continue along the same track, passing two paths on your left, and continue to the crossroads at the buried cistern.
(5) Leave the track and turn right heading north-west to reach Jas de Sylvain.
(6) Stay on this path, which runs parallel to the track above. Pass a first path on the right, then a second on the left, and continue to Col de l'Aigle, where theGR®98(white and red markings) also ends.
(7) This is where the real challenge begins. Turn right, following theGR® trail, and head north to Col du Fauge, where you can enjoy lunch in the sunshine and admire the scenery.
(8) At the pass, turn right to join theGR®98, which winds its way through the rocks to the antennas.
(9) At the antennas, leave theGR®98and turn right onto a path that descends into a small valley. At the fork, take the left branch and follow the path, which curves sharply to the left, to reach the cades oven.
(10) Continue downhill to rejoin the track you took in the morning.
(3) Turn left onto this track. All you have to do now is return to the car park by following the same route you took on the way there in the opposite direction (E).
Enjoy your walk.
The maintenance and cutting of numerous trees at the start of the route makes it more difficult to find the route. Make sure you take the track towards the Arnaud well
, but it comes after a good walk, so we have time to warm up.
