Parking at Le Vâ, 700m before the hamlet of Treicol.
(S/E) From the car park, follow the track towards Treicol and look for a path between two houses on the left, which will be the way back.
(1) Cross the hamlet, continuing straight ahead on the track.
(2) From the first big bend in the track, you can take a well-marked path that branches off to the right. Pick up theGR®5markings and follow them to the right to rejoin the track.
(3) Take this track, turning right. Leave a path on your left and 200 metres further on, another path which will be the junction for the return route.
(4) Stay on the track, cross the Ruisseau du Coin and arrive at the Chalet de Conchette.
(5) Stay on the track, which will gradually turn south and join the Chalet du Coin.
(6) Continue along the path and then the trail towards the Col du Coin, which is already clearly visible. Reach an intersection below the pass.
(7) A final, but short, steep climb takes you to the Col du Coin at 2,398 metres.
(8) Descend to the previous junction.
(7) Turn right onto a path on the hillside. This will take you to Lac d'Amour.
(9) Follow it on the left. You can take a break on the banks of the lake and admire the Pierra Menta. Begin the descent by turning left onto the slope of the lake's spillway.
Descend first along a trail and then along a path until you reach the track and the junction you saw on the way up.
(4) Descend along the track.
(3) Go back past the junction you passed on the way up, continuing straight ahead on the track this time. Descend for about 500m to find the first large hairpin bend. After the third bend, look for a path on the right marked by theGR®5.
(10) Leave the track and turn right onto theGR®5trail. This long balcony trail leads to a good path above Lavachay.
(11) Turn left and return to the hamlet of Treicol.
(1) Turn right and follow the track back to the car park (S/E).
