(2) Enjoy the view of the Orbey valley and the Lapoutroie massif, then continue to Lac Noir.
(3) After a short break to read the information boards about the life and demise of the power station, take the red-white-red marked stony path on the left which climbs uphill – a little effort is required here. Cross the forest track forthe first time and take the path opposite, then rejoin the forest track.

(6) After enjoying the spot, take the small path on the right that descends behind the dam, marked with a red triangle, and follows the stream along a cool, shaded path. Walk along a car park and cross a track twice. Reach the next fork with a small path on the left (be careful not to miss it).
(7) Turn onto this small path, marked with a red triangle. At the track, continue a few metres to the left, then at the three-way junction that follows, turn right. At the edge of the forest, continue along the edge and make a wide loop to the left. You will reach a fork.
(8) Leave the red triangle markings and go down a few wooden steps, then continue straight ahead towards Col du Wettstein, marked with a yellow easel. After a loop to the right, enter the woods, cross a transverse path and then leave the woods after making a wide left turn.
