Coming from the D48 road leading to the Col de Wettstein, at the start of the first bend, turn straight onto the path leading to Lac Forlet. After about 200 m, park at a place called Kaltenborn.
(S/E) Follow the yellow disc marked route that leads to the Hautes Huttes crossroads, passing through Mulmen in the Michelbach valley. The climb is quite long, sometimes on a road, sometimes on a path, for about 1.6 km. You will come to a junction with a yellow easel marked path.
(1) Turn right onto this marked trail, which leads to the Musmiss farmhouse inn.
(2) Continue along the access road to the farm until you reach the Col du Wettstein.
(3) Cross the crossroads and go up the road towards the Linge Memorial for about 150 m, then turn right into the forest onto the GR®532 path marked with a yellow rectangle. Continue to the Glasborn farmhouse inn. The path leads to the access road to the farm.
(4) At the bend in the road, a few metres before the farm, take the path marked with a red triangle, then a yellow ring, heading south, which leads to a place called Gebraech where it joins the Route du Linge.
(5) Turn right onto the path that runs alongside the road. After about 100 metres, turn right onto the blue disc path and follow it for about 500 metres. You will reach a crossroads.
(6) Turn left and follow the Blue Disc markings for 200 metres. The path crosses the Londenbach road. Turn right to follow this road towards the goat farm. Pass the farms below on your left and you will come to a crossroads just before a left-hand bend.
(7) Leave the road that leads to Buchteren and turn right onto the path (still following the blue discs) towards the abandoned Burnenmatt farm.
(8) The path then climbs back up to the road, passes under the viewpoint at altitude 820, and reaches a reservoir.
(9) Leave the Blue Disc trail for the Blue Easel marked trail. It heads left towards Geisberg (towards Soultzeren in the south) and joins the D48 road at Oberer Geisberg.
(10) Walkcarefully along the left-hand side of the road until you reach the entrance to the hairpin bend (marked Chevalet Bleu). Then take the path that rejoins Chemin du Geisberg and continues towards the hamlet of Unterer Geisberg, then Langeren.
(11) Shortly after Langeren, leave the Chevalet Bleu marked trail and take the trail (Disque Rouge) on the right. Climb gently uphill, following the Michelbach stream, towards Kaltenborn in the north. The trail leads to the Wettstein D48 road opposite the houses.
(12) Follow it to the left, walking carefully along the road until you reach the crossroads before a bridge. Take the small Forlet road, which will quickly bring you back to the starting point (S/E).
)just be very careful at point 11 because there is a change in the route and the path to take to descend towards the river is about fifteen metres after a hairpin bend to the left at the bottom of the hamlet. It was great!
