About 20 km from Metz, in Arnaville, go down Rue des Juifs and then Rue de la Chapelle on the right. Park in the car park on the left near the pumping station.
(S/E) Walk down towards the Rupt de Mad stream to the small bridge, where there is a superb view of the water.
(1) Retrace your steps back to the starting point.
(S/E) Walk up the street and turn left onto Rue de la Chapelle towards the chapel. Cross the cemetery (see the Commonwealth grave). Walk up the street.
(2) Carefully cross Grande Rue (D959) to take Rue de Gorze opposite.
(3) At the top of the hill, take the path on the right and keep right at the next fork (do not take the path with a barrier and consult the information panel of the Conservatoire des Sites Lorrains).
(4) Follow this path and go around the Rudemont limestone plateau. Admire the view of the Moselle and the Rupt de Mad and the orchids in season.
(5). Follow the path, which turns 90° to the right and leads to the barrier.
(3) At the intersection, turn left and return along the same path to the car park (S/E).
. I recommend it
A very pleasant evening stroll. Lovely views of the valleys.
