Park in the hikers' car park.
(S/E) From the car park, follow the road to the left between the houses (on the left, the old Doumergarie bridge) to the D25E1. Take it to the left and pass in front of the Château de Font Rose. Continue along the road for 150m, then climb to the right along a cement path. Leave it shortly afterwards on the left and take a path lined with low walls that climbs and winds through the undergrowth and then between cultivated plots.
at the end of the cultivated fields, ignore the path opposite and climb up to the right through the forest. The winding path joins the paved slanting street (Sel) path (because of the steps, carts had to have iron-rimmed wheels, hence the name Camin Farrat).
(2) Go up to the right for 200 metres towards the Cirque du Bout-du-Monde (GRP®® TLM, a trail that runs through the vast spaces of the southern Larzac).
(3) Leave theGRP®® and turn right onto a well-marked path, which runs along a balcony. Follow it to the Brèze stream.
(4) Do not cross it, but take the path that descends to the right; it follows the limestone cirque covered with a beautiful pine forest (panoramic view of the valley, crops, orchards and the hamlet of Gourgas). Cross several streams: the karstic cave, the Figaret. Further on, cross a rocky outcrop and continue along the path (take care near the cliffs).
(5) After crossing the Rieussec, you will come to a wide track through black pine trees. Follow the track for 1 km until you reach a crossroads.
(6) Leave the track that climbs opposite and turn right to continue downhill towards the hamlet.
(7) At the fork, follow the track on the left, leaving a path on the right, and you will reach the road; follow it to the right.
(8) At the first houses, leave the road and turn left onto a descending path to reach a ford. Cross the Brèze stream, then turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
Very good, very nice route taken at the end of December 2025. Fortunately, it was the opposite of your directions! At the exit, we arrived at the GR (short section). Barrier tape and a notice of closure from the town hall. The GR was blocked upstream due to a landslide. A detour seems to be planned. I suppose that to avoid confusion, this is why the cliff-top path is blocked at this point by barrier tape. No notice at the "hikers' car park". This allowed us to do it without any problems and come back by crossing the barrier tape on the way back.
