Megalith circuit in Saint-Hilaire-Cusson-la-Valmitte

Start at Place du Souvenir near the war memorial.

(S/E) Follow the departmental road to the statue of the Madonna, then take the path on the right and follow it to the D104.

(1) Cross with caution, take the path that climbs slightly to the right and join the hamlet of Chazourne.

(2) In the hamlet, turn right and continue straight ahead facing the cross, then left towards the isolated building. Pass in front of a house and follow the path that climbs up to the right into the woods. Continue until you reach a road.

(3) Take the left fork just before the paved road, then cross the Aigue-Blanche. Continue along the path to the Route du Mont. The megaliths are 100 m further on, after a small path that branches off to the left.

(4) Alternatively, take the path directly to the left and continue to the second fork in the road at Les Rippes.

(5) Turn right, then left once you reach the paved road. Then turn left again until you reach the Ruisseau du Bezan stream and find a road.

(6) Keep right. Follow the D104, then turn left onto a small path. Continue until you reach a wide path and turn left. Continue along the path and turn left to cross the Pont du Pêcher.

(7) Turn left, then immediately right onto the path that climbs uphill and continue for about 500 m. When you reach the paved road, turn left, then left again onto the path on the left and cross the D14.4 with caution.

(8) Go down to the Maisonneuve mill. Cross the departmental road slightly to the left, then turn right and left and go back up towards the village. Turn right, then left to pass in front of the^12th-century church, and repeat the operation. Then turn right to return to the starting point. (S/E)
