Description of the walk

Several loops are possible for this circuit. Circuit A takes you to the north of the commune. Circuit B covers the southern part and circuit C covers both of these circuits.

(S/E) With the Place de la République on your right, turn left towards the intersection of the RD14 and the Ruelle de la Forge, go down the lane to the12th-century church and turn right, then left to pass in front of the town hall.

(1) Turn right, then left at the end, and turn immediately right onto a wide dirt track leading down to the Aigue-Blanche stream. At the bottom of the descent, turn left towards the hamlet of La Maisonneuve.

(2) Open the gate and descend towards the Aigue-Blanche. On your right is the old Maisonneuve mill. Once you have passed it, continue along the path until you reach the next yellow signpost at Bois Brûlé.

(3) When you reach the intersection, turn right, then left. Continue straight ahead at the crossroads until you reach the next fork.

(4) Turn right and follow the path downhill to the Rivière de l'Aigue-Blanche, staying on the downhill path. Then follow the river to the Rasa de Cusson bridge. After the bridge, take the path that climbs to the left to the hamlet of Cusson.

(5) In the centre of the hamlet, take the wide path on the right towards the meadows, then turn right towards the hamlet of Devey. The path leads to a wide dirt track.

(6) Turn immediately left, then left again. Continue straight ahead until you reach the paved road.

(7) Follow the road to the right, then take the dirt track that descends to the left towards the hamlet of Crozet. Continue straight ahead until you reach the hamlet.

(8) Take the road that descends to the left, then the road that climbs up to the left towards the hamlet of Montméal.

(9) At the hamlet, take the road that descends to the right towards the hamlet of Chazelles.

(10) After the Chazelles huts, take the dirt track on the left that climbs up to the woodshed. Turn left and then right. Cross the D104 with caution, then take the wide track to the former holiday camp in the enclosure.

(11) Then take the dirt road on the right, then right again. At the track, descend opposite to the hamlet of Malfrey.

(12) Go behind the hamlet and take the small path through the meadows, then through the woods to the hamlet of Gréziecq.

(13) Follow the dirt track that climbs up to the left just before the old wash house. Continue climbing until you reach the tarmac road.

(14) Turn right and follow the road, then turn left at the crossroads in the hamlet of Crozet-Pêcher. Follow the path until you cross the departmental road and follow it on the left until you reach a fork.

(15) Take the small path on the right until you reach the junction with the Chazourne road and the cross.

(16) Turn right, then right again. Follow the road, then turn left. Then turn left twice until you reach the hamlet of Chazourne.

(17) In Chazourne, turn left, then right and left again. Then follow the road downhill until you cross the departmental road.

(18) Turn right and then left until you reach the village of St-Hilaire and arrive at the starting point (S/E).
