Departure from the place known as Le Calvaire.
(S/E) From Le Calvaire, take the path downhill, then turn right further on. After the first house, follow the yellow/white markings No. 8 and cross the hamlet of Nermond. Continue along a small tarmac road uphill No. 8
(1) After the buildings, leave the road and take a dirt track marked No. 8 going up to the left into a deciduous forest. At the first crossroads, go straight ahead.
(2) Continue straight ahead. At the forest track, turn left for 30 metres.
(3) Cross the forest track and enter the forest on the right via a dirt track. Follow it until it leads to a forest track.
(4) Turn right. After about 50 metres, at a fork, turn right (north). At the next fork, turn right again. At the crossroads (elevation 1258), turn left.
(5) After passing the Fossat lodge on your right, take the rutted path up to a heath plateau, continue straight ahead, pass through a swing gate, and continue until you find a sharp right turn. Be careful: if you reach the crossroads marked "les 2 boules", retrace your steps to the previous crossroads, marker no. 13, La Lite.
(6) At the marker, turn right at an acute angle and take a grassy path that becomes stony.
(7) Pass the Loge de la Lite on your right.
(8) At the bend, leave the wide path and turn right into the deciduous forest onto an old path that runs alongside a cattle park. Then turn left at the hairpin bend, then right again. Follow the snowshoe markings no. 13.
(9) At the bottom of the descent, turn left and continue along a wide forest track. Ignore all the paths branching off to the left. Head north-east and you will reach the Loge Neuve, Giraudias stele.
(10) At the fork, take the path on the right. Stay on the main path, ignoring any paths branching off to the sides.
(11) At the T-junction, turn right.
(12) At the Carrefour du Moulin Pichoix, turn right onto an old gravel path overlooking the river. Stay on this path, heading east-southeast, until you reach a T-junction.
(13) Turn right and continue along a tarmac road downhill. Cross a bridge with a green barrier, then take the dirt track on the left into the valley. Pass La Rouérie, follow the road, and cross Le Trêve.
(14) Turn right, passing the eco-lodge with blue shutters on your left. At the bottom of the hamlet, turn right at the crossroads and take the small tarmac road. About 200 m further on, at the crossroads, turn left; head towards a calvary, then descend towards your starting point (S/E).
