Park at the Porte d'Alsace reception area on the D419 between Foussemagne and Chavannes-sur-l'Étang.

(S/E) Head south-east along the D419, Rue d'Alsace, towards Chavannes-sur-l'Étang. Turn left and follow the D419. At the roundabout, continue straight on the D32 until you reach the church.
(1) Turn right onto Rue de l'Église and pass the cemetery. Leave the village by following the path on the left that crosses the meadow. The path turns left. After 50 metres, at the edge of the copse, watch the markings carefully and turn right into the forest. The path crosses a stream called La Gruebaine, turns left along the stream, then crosses it again, turning left once more. Watch for the markings at the edge of the forest (at this point, the Anneau Rouge markings go straight ahead, but follow the Anneau Vert markings).
(2) Turn right onto the gravel path and pass in front of a hunters' hut. Follow the markings carefully. Pass the pond.
(3) Turn right. Cross the Gruebaine on a footbridge. At the next crossroads, cross a path and then the path turns left at elevation 363. Keep an eye on the markings. A little further on, a descriptive sign explains the marking of the boundary stones. At the edge of the forest, turn left and walk along the field.
(4) Turn left at the Haut Bois water reservoir. There is a picnic area here. 200 m further on, turn left again, following the markings carefully.
(5) When you reach the Étang du Milieu, turn left and walk along the pond. Pass two paths on your left and cross a stream. The path becomes a forest road. Follow it for 300 metres and turn left. The markings are helpful. Cross a stream and you will arrive at a meadow.
(6) At the crossroads, turn left and follow the Anneau Vert markings (note that the right-hand path is marked with a disc). Turn right onto the gravel path.
(7) Turn right as you enter the forest. (Keep an eye on the markings). The path leaves the forest and turns left.
(8) Continue along the pond. After 100 metres, turn left just before another small pond and enter the forest. Turn right at the next crossroads.
(9) Cross the D32 road and walk through the meadows. Pass a path on your left. Cross the D32.7 road. Cross the footbridge over La Reppe stream and arrive at Belle Île Pond. Take the time to enjoy the picnic tables and admire this beautiful spot with its pretty pontoon leading to the island.
(10) Turn left at the exit of the property.
(11) At the bend, turn left, following the signs, and continue along the "Les Fosses" discovery trail, which has numerous information panels. Return to the starting point (S/E).
