The Two Oaks of Luart Route

Start from the town hall car park.

(S/E) Behind the town hall, take the path that runs alongside the football ground, then turn left and follow the walls of Luart Castle. Ignore the first path on the left (2.5 km alternative route: turn left) and continue straight on for 1 kilometre until you reach the road in the Bois des Sables.

(1) Cross the road to take the path opposite, then turn left at the crossroads. On the Chemin des Pommereaux, turn left.

(2) You’ll reach Rue de la Petite Vallée; continue straight ahead. At the roundabout, do the same to take Rue des Vignes. Continue
for 300 metres, pass the primary school, then turn right. Follow the path to reach Rue des Bains.

(3) Follow it to the left and, immediately, turn right at the Stop sign. Continue for 200 metres to the cemetery before turning right onto Impasse Agathe (you can turn left for the 2-kilometre alternative route). Take the path on the right between the bush and the fence and follow the track for 1 km to the road.

(4) Take the D85 to the left for 450 metres. Turn right into Impasse de la Jeulinière. Cross the small grassy area to reach Chemin des Mardelles.

(5) Turn left for 300 metres, then right at the first junction. Turn left onto the first path and, at the end of it, follow the path on the right to Rue Robert Garnier. Follow it to the right, then turn left to reach Rue Roland du Luart. Cross it, then turn left and then right to reach the town hall and the starting point (S/E).
