Park in the car park by the church in the village of Cuisiat.
Signposting is clearly visible throughout the route, either on trees or on wooden posts or similar, so it’s really straightforward. Just at the start, make sure you don’t go the wrong way after the steps from the car park: don’t take thefirst right, but thesecond street on the right.
(S/E) Go down the steps. Cross Rue du Pressoir. Then turn right into Rue Albin Mazur.
(1) At the junction, turn left onto the main road (D52) and follow it, ignoring two roads on the left – take care.
(2) At the three-way junction, take the tarmac track on the left, opposite the ‘beware of wildlife’ sign. Follow this track, passing a few houses. Turn left towards a T-junction.
(3) Turn right onto the Chemin sous Boisset and carry on straight ahead to reach the D52, which leads to the village of Pressiat – take care. Pass the information signs for Bresse-Revermon and continue straight ahead. Pass the 14th-century church on your left.
(4) At the junction, turn left and walk past the inn. Continue following the signposts marked on the trees or on wooden posts bearing the circular loop number (No. 2).
(5) At the multi-way junction, veer left, then right at the next junction towards another junction.
(6) Turn left towards Les Chugnettes, where you continue along a path leading to the edge of the forest.
(7) Turn left into the forest; the path is sometimes muddy. Atthe first crossroads, turn right. Cross a footbridge over the Ruisseau du Grand Pré and arrive at a place called Carisse.
(8) Take the path on the left, cross a road and continue straight on along the road leading towards the Grange du Pin lake. Ignore the road leading to the lake.
(9) Turn right; shortly afterwards, the stony path passes close to the leisure centre.
(10) At the junction by the woodland edge of the lake, do not enter the woodland but turn left onto the tarmac path and pass Domaine Neuf.
(11) At the junction, turn left onto the road which will take you back to the car park, after turning once to the right and then to the left, following the signposts on the posts (S/E).
