Park in the car park at the Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier cemetery.
(S/E) Take Rue de la Bréjade and head towards the junction with the forest path.
(1) Continue along the street until you reach the Bréjade district. At the end of Bréjade, take the path leading down to the left. Reach the motorway service road, turn left onto it to join the D34.
(2) Turn right onto this road towards Chauvignac and proceed to a multi-way junction.
(3) Take the D34 opposite, Rue de Chauvignac. Continue straight on to reach the hamlet of Étang-Lagane.
(4) Turn left, passing the stadium. Continue north-west to reach the hamlet of La Malignie.
(5) Turn slightly right and continue north-westwards through fields and woodland. You will come out onto the D7 just before the hamlet of Les Palisses.
(6) Take this road on the left and cross Les Palisses. At the end, turn left, then left again onto the path signposted ‘Étang de la Poule’ and follow it to the lake.
(7) Continue along the path. At the end, turn right onto a short stretch of road, then, 200m further on, turn right again onto a small road. Follow it to the end.
(8) Turn left onto a path that crosses the road you left earlier and walk through Chauvignac to return to the multi-way junction you passed on the way there.
(3) Turn right back onto the route taken on the way there, which leads to the junction with the motorway service road.
(2) Keep the road leading to the Moulin de Chauvignac straight ahead. Cross the stream and immediately afterwards turn left onto the forest path. Return to the first junction.
(1) Turn right and follow the route taken on the way there to reach the cemetery car park (S/E).
