The Clément Route in Crestot

Start from the car park in front of the town hall/village hall, Rue des Écoles in Crestot.

(S/E) Head right towards the junction, then turn right again onto Rue de l’Église, walk past the pond and head towards the church.

(1) Turn right onto Allée des Peupliers. At the end, turn right again onto Rue de la Fosse Liard. At the junction with Rue des Écoles, turn left onto the RD84 towards Hectomare, leaving the cemetery on your left. Continue to the Quatre Chemins crossroads.

(2) Continue straight on for just over 1 km and, at the entrance to Hectomare, turn left onto Rue de la Marnière. At the end of the street, cross the D66 with care and turn left onto Rue de l’Église opposite.

(3) Turn right onto Rue Saint-Taurin and join the Route de Cesseville. First turn right then left onto Chemin des Pérelles, which is tarmac-surfaced at the start and then turns to grass, running between meadows and cultivated fields. When you reach a fork, turn right onto the dirt track until you reach the next junction with a tarmac road called Chemin du Bosc Harel.

(4) Turn right onto this small tarmac road which runs alongside the houses, then continue straight on along the grassy path which runs alongside a lovely hedge, before passing through cultivated fields to emerge onto a tarmac road. At this junction, turn right towards the hamlet of Londemare.

(5) Before the right-angle bend, turn right onto the small path that winds its way between hedgerows and beautiful ash trees, leading out opposite a pond. Follow the small tarmac road to the left until you reach the first fork (a lovely landscaped pond).

(6) Turn right onto Route de Londemare to head back towards Crestot.

(7) At the entrance to the village, at the junction of Rue des Forrières and Rue des Libérateurs, turn left onto Chemin du Tour de Ville, which is tarmac-surfaced at the start but becomes grassy after 200 metres. Continue to the right along the embankment lined with beautiful trees, until you reach Rue des Écoles. Turn left and walk for about 40 metres, then turn right into Ruelle à la Roche and continue to the junction with Avenue de la Messe.

(8) Turn right onto this road; at the end, turn right onto Rue de l’Église.

(1) After passing the church and the pond on your left, you’ll reach the junction with Rue des Écoles again. Turn left and head back to the car park (S/E).
