Park in the car park north of the Grand Étang.
(S/E) Looking towards the lake, head to the right and take the path at the end of the car park, then turn right and walk up the tarmac road for about 100 metres and turn right onto theGR®36.
(1) Continue straight ahead for about 720 metres and turn right. After 50 metres, turn left onto a discovery trail.
(2) At the next intersection, turn right for about 30 metres and then turn right again. Continue straight ahead on this path, ignoring the next two intersections. At the next intersection, go straight ahead onto the discovery trail.
(3). This is the large car park. Turn left towards the south until you reach the edge of the car park, then turn right to follow the road, staying on the car park, and continue to the pedestrian crossing located just after the main entrance (with height restriction bar) for vehicles in the large car park. Cross the road, take the path opposite that runs alongside the "Refuge du Trappeur", then turn left onto the large path that passes in front of the Refuge du Trappeur. After about 150m, at the junction with a large path, turn right and continue along this large path, ignoring the next junction and continuing straight ahead.
(4) At the intersection, turn right and then right again 15 metres further on. Continue straight ahead and take (about 30 metres before the D105 tarmac road) the grassy track on the right that runs alongside the Étang Neuf. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the path that goes around the pond.
(5) At the intersection, turn right onto theGR®36and walk along the Étang des Molières on your left.
After this pond, continue on the right along theGR®36until you reach the entrance to the campsite.
(6) Go straight ahead on the path closed to vehicles (wooden blocks across the path) until you reach the intersection with a wide driveway. Turn right onto this driveway and after about 60 metres, take a path on the left through the vegetation that leads to the edge of the Grand Étang and admire the view.
(7) Turn around and turn right towards the south-west onto the driveway that runs alongside the lake at a good distance, with the vegetation on your right preventing you from seeing it. Continue straight ahead for about 500 metres and take the path on the right, about 80 metres from the D203 main road. Continue along this path, which runs alongside the Grand Étang.
(8) Leave the main path and continue straight ahead to stay close to the pond. At the intersection with a lane that leads to the lake, turn left and then right just after the sailing school buildings. Continue along this road, which is closed to traffic except for residents. At the next intersection with a track on your left, go straight ahead. At the next intersection, turn right onto the main lane leading to the beach. Pass the information point on your left, continue straight ahead towards the "Refuge du Trappeur" and turn left just before the refuge, cross the road using the pedestrian crossing to reach the large car park (S/E).
An easy and pleasant hike, especially when it's warm.
