The thirty-first stage of the Way of St James. An easy stage with a slight incline from Cahors and a lovely climb at the start. You will cross the magnificent Pont Valentré to arrive, 23 km further on, at Labastide-Marnhac, a charming little town in the Lot department where white stone houses with flower-bedecked façades line both sides of the main street. The route continues gently to Lascabanes, a picturesque little village with its row of houses typical of the small farmers of yesteryear.

For this stage, we leave the Célé behind to follow the Lot valley.
The path winds its way through the shade of the oak forests south of the Lot. As expected, numerous crosses, wayside shrines and old houses line this route to Santiago de Compostela.
At the confluence of the Vers and the Lot: Vers. It’s a very pretty village where it’s lovely to rest and have a bite to eat for a while.

Une 4e étape qui, du Plateau des Causses, nous fait descendre les méandres du Célé. D'abord à Cabrerets où le village tout en longueur, à l'étroit entre falaise et rivière, nous emmène jusqu'au château en surplomb. Ensuite elle nous laisse au pied de la falaise à Bouziès, impressionnante par son à pic de presque 150 m.
Cette petite randonnée laisse largement la possibilité d'un retour dans le temps de 29000 années, par une visite au site préhistorique de Pech Merle sur le circuit.
