A gem in the heart of the tropical forest: two waterfalls and a beautiful pool to discover. This circular route starts with a forest trail. Along the way, you will be immersed in the humid atmosphere and amazed by the majestic trees, the scent of incense, the wild orchids and the epiphytic plants.

Description of the walk

Park in a small space in a bend on the Route Forestière de Moreau.

(S/E) Head west and walk a few hundred metres.

(1) Cross a ravine and continue west.

(2) Leave the main trail, turn left and join the Route Forestière de la Rose.

(3) Turn left and follow a circular route to rejoin the Route Forestière de Moreau.

(4) Follow this road straight ahead, around the bends, until you reach the Route Forestière des Mineurs.

(5) Turn left and continue until you reach the next fork.

(6) Leave the Route Forestière des Mineurs and take a path on the left towards Ravine Bouteiller. You will arrive at a beautiful waterfall with black stratified rocks.

(7) After a well-deserved swim, continue downhill for about 300 metres, then turn right to reach the second waterfall on Ravine Bouteiller. The beautiful pool with its huge platform is the perfect place to take a lunch break before heading back up the trail to rejoin the Route Forestière des Mineurs.

(6) Turn left onto this road and continue until you reach a fork on the left.

(9) Be sure to keep to the left at this tricky fork and begin a beautiful climb, still on the Route Forestière des Mineurs.

(10) Cross Ravine Bouteiller and continue straight ahead until you reach a fork at the edge of the forest.

(11) Turn left to rejoin the Route Forestière de Moreau. Follow it to the left to return to the car park (S/E).
