The starting point is in the abbey car park, in the centre of Baume-les-Messieurs.
(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto Rue des Grands Jardins. Keep left at the junction with Rue de Crancot, then take the second path on the left after the town hall to cross the Seille.
(1) Continue left through the village heading south and following the Seille river. Continue until you reach the second path on the right. Take this path, passing a chapel on your right. Cross the stream (the Dard) and follow it on the left bank with its many small waterfalls. At the ford, turn right until you reach the Tufs waterfall.
(2) Return to the ford via the same route and follow a path on the left with steps on the right of the waterfall. Cross a bridge over the river.
(3) Continue to the left of a building, descending slightly to cross the paved road.
(4) Take the path opposite, which climbs up to the Échelles de Crançot. Keep right until you reach the Belvédère des Roches on the road.
(5) Then return and continue straight ahead on the road until you reach the crossroads in a bend.
(6) Continue on the left towards Crois de Suchot (PR®). Further on, keep left to arrive at a large private table, which is authorised for use by respectful members of the public.
(7) Then return to the crossroads and turn left. Follow the yellowPR® signs, passing an intersection and then following a cliff. Keep to the right until you are close to the road. Continue straight ahead at the next intersection until you reach a crossroads.
(8) Turn left until you reach the Suchot Cross.
(9) Then return to the junction via the same route.
(8) Turn left, then left again onto the paved road until you reach the start of a trail.
(10) Keep left and follow a steeply descending path: be careful of slipping in wet weather. You will arrive at Baumes-les-Messieurs. Cross the monumental abbey to return to the car park (S/E).
