Billaude Waterfall or Saut Claude Roy

A short walk offering easy access to two viewing points providing views, from above and below, of the magnificent Billaude Waterfall. A footpath and metal staircases lead to these points.

Description of the walk

Start from the car park situated between the hamlet of La Billaude and the village of Syam, alongside the D279.

(S/E) From the car park, cross the D279 with care and take the path that runs alongside the building on your right. Walk down to the viewpoint.

(1) Then return to the side of the D279 and turn right onto the path running alongside it.

(2) Take the path leading down to the right and continue to the next fork.

(3) Turn onto the path on the right, then continue down the numerous metal steps until you reach the bottom of the gorge and the base of the waterfall.

(4) After taking in the scenery, return by following the same route back to the car park (S/E).
