Park in the Bassin de Buisson car park.
(S/E) On the left side of the Cure, there is a green metal forest barrier. Take the path that leads into the forest and ignore the paths on the left.
(1) Your path will cross a sunken lane. If you want to see the larger of the two quarries on the route, continue straight ahead when you come out of the sunken lane. Continue along the ridge and do not descend towards the valley on the right. Head for the quarry where, at the bottom, you will find a sunny or shady sandy area where you can have your picnic.
(2) Turn back. To continue the route, take the sunken lane by turning right. Stay on the sunken lane, ignoring the small paths on the right, and reach the second quarry on the route, which is the most beautiful.
(3) At the other end of the quarry, take the exit where the sandstone used to be transported. Go straight ahead at the crossroads and join the next one directly below a power line.
(4) At this fork, take the left path for the shortest route (there is an alternative route on the right, see § During the hike or nearby). Directly below a high-voltage power line, take the right path to avoid climbing up onto the plateau.
(5) Continue diagonally to the right towards the D95.
(6) Before reaching the road, take the small path on the left (horse field on the right). Then continue straight ahead through the woods.
(7) Turn right at a sharp angle. Cross the D94 and continue straight ahead on Rue d'Ors. Continue until you see the sign for "Moulin d'Ors". Turn right, pass in front of the Château d'Ors farm and leave the site via a small path on the right.
(8) About 50 metres further on, turn onto the path on the left. Pass under the Gar bridge and take the path on your left until you reach the forest path on a mound of earth. Turn right and follow this path to Moulin des Vassaux.
(9) Continue along the path. Keep right at the three-way junction to reach a staircase leading to a road, which you must cross. Continue straight ahead, cross the footbridge to cross the marshes and come out onto a street (Route de Billehou).
(10) Turn left, then right after 20 metres into Impasse de la Fontaine Billehou. Continue along the path, take the first path on the right to cross the two branches of the Mérantaise. After crossing the river, join the D95 (Route de Châteaufort), cross with caution and continue straight ahead on Chemin du Fond de la Cure. Continue straight ahead at the crossroads.
(11) At the end, you can turn right or left (choice of route) to cross a precarious passage made of stones or logs. Turn right immediately and go back up to the starting car park (S/E).
