Departure from the centre of the village of Chateauroux-les-Alpes (several parking options).
(S/E) Above the cemetery, turn left towards the Saint-Roch Chapel.
(1) At the chapel, turn right and head towards "Les Gérards", ignoring the two roads that start on the right.
(2) After 600 to 700 metres, leave the road and take the path that climbs to the right. When this path joins a track, turn left and cross a small group of houses.
(3) At the next intersection, continue climbing to the right between forests and fields.
(4) When the path winds around to cross a stream, leave it and take a track that starts quite steeply to the left (mountain bike signposting). The start is steep, but after passing a water collection point, the path becomes very pleasant again.
Continue along this path, taking the right-hand branch at intersections and following the mountain bike signs.
(5) Join the wide Eyrette track. Descend to the right.
(6) After the fourth hairpin bend, take the pretty path that starts on the left and follows the Gramorel Canal (yellow markings - direction of the waterfall).
(7) When the path finally descends into the stream bed, a footbridge allows you to cross and reach the Muandes car park.
You can then continue on to the Cascade de la Pisse waterfall or start your return journey by taking the small road on the right that descends along the stream. Continue to the viewpoint, where you can admire the Demoiselles Coiffées rock formations lined up on the opposite slope.
(8) At this point, you will find the Eyrette trail on your right, which you will now take in the uphill direction. Just after passing the path to the waterfall you took earlier, you will find the canal, which you will now follow to the left. The trail starts with a large bend (yellow markings - direction Les Pinées).
(9) After reaching the Auberge "les Pinées", you will find theGR®50markings, which you will follow along a beautiful trail, being careful not to miss the point where it leaves this trail to descend towards the village.
Leave thisGR® at the Maison du Parc to return to the starting point (S/E).
. But I can confirm that at this moment all the paths and bridges have been repaired, so you can do the hike as described. I went to see the waterfall and I would really advise you to do the same (it adds about 20-30 minutes of hiking, but you will probably want to use that spot to eat something as it is really beautiful, so it takes a bit longer). With two +-15m breaks, I did the hike, including going to the waterfall, in about 6h45.
