From the centre of the village, head west on the road, leaving the post office on your left. Continue on this road, following the signs for "Borde d'Anapia".
Caution: The road is very narrow. You will arrive at a large car park on your right.
(S/E) Departure from the car park (altitude 1006). Head north-west along the track. Yellow markings will help you throughout the climb to Lac de Lhurs.
At the fork 100 m after the start, turn left onto an old narrow grassy track (signpost) and continue to the fork (altitude 1,030 m).
(1) Turn left, heading south, onto a wide track. Pass the Ruisseau Larrangus (1070 m) and continue to the next fork (elevation 1081 m).
(2) Continue right on the track suitable for vehicles, which gives way to a steep track in the forest and joins the fork (altitude 1310 m).
(3) Turn right onto a small, damaged track that climbs steeply. It quickly turns into a well-marked path and passes the 1371m mark. The path is on a ledge, offering glimpses of a beautiful landscape. Pass a ravined area where a tributary of the Landrosque flows intermittently.
Caution: this area requires caution, as the path is narrow and there is a drop on the left.
Leave the forest and cross a stream that is often dry. The path then follows a gully.
(4) Turn left, heading south, cross the Landrosque stream (do not follow the stream) and climb steeply into the forest, following a well-marked path. Do not cut across the switchbacks. Simply follow the existing yellow markings. The path winds through a magnificent rocky area, heading due west. Lac de Lhurs (altitude 1,700 m) comes into view, with the jagged Ansabère range in the background.
Pass the first hut. Continue climbing slightly, heading west, towards a second hut.
(5) When you reach it (1730 m), you will be greeted by a magnificent view and a fountain.
This is a beautiful spot for a well-deserved break.
Return via the same route to get back to the car park (S/E).
