The walk starts from a car park on the right-hand side of Chemin de Mimet, which leads to the Allauch shooting range. This car park is just before the boules courts on the left and a Second World War memorial.
(S/E) From the car park, walk along the left side of the main boules court and take a wide track to a path that climbs up to the right with a blue cross on the ground
(1) Take this path and, at the top, you will come to a wider track.
(2) Take this track on the right. You will probably hear gunshots on your right coming from the nearby shooting range. Continue along the track until you reach a T-junction.
(3) Turn left. As you walk along the track, you will see a water tank in front of you. Go around it on the left (ignoring the track that branches off to the south at the tank). You will come to a barrier. Go through it and you will arrive at Chemin de Mimet.
(4) Turn left and continue along this path for about 250 metres, passing a track that branches off to the left with a green barrier. Pass a yellow signpost (on your left) to reach an intersection just after a red and white marker marked ET212.
(5) Take the track just after the marker towards a green gate and follow this wide track, which zigzags for about 2,300 metres until you reach a tarmac intersection about 50 metres away.
(6) Turn left where you see a round underground tank topped with a red and white marker CIT128. Shortly afterwards, on the right-hand side of the track, you will see a green tank with the number 632. As you walk along this track, you will see the Étoile relay antenna clearly behind you and, in front of you on your right, the city of Marseille with the Velodrome stadium and the Frioul islands in the background.
(7) After about 900 metres of gentle descent, you will notice a slightly faded yellow marker on the left with a wide path (with a post in the middle). Take this path to the left for 30 metres before continuing on a trail to the left. This trail descends slowly at first, then a little more steeply to the bottom of a small valley where you will come across another trail, which you do not take. Continue straight ahead and you will soon come to a slightly steep climb. At the top of the climb, continue for about 40 metres to the right until you reach an intersection, where you turn left. After about 80 metres, you will come to a field used for grazing animals, which corresponds to a right-hand bend.
(8) Then a wide bend to the right takes you back to Chemin de Mimet, which you took on the way there.
(4) This time, do not take the path with the barrier on your right, but continue along the road. Pass the dog training centre on your left, then the shooting range on your right, and you will finally arrive at the car park (S/E).
