(S) With the hotel in front of you, head left for 50 m, then turn right onto Rue du Herrenhaus to take an uphill road leading to the Hohwald campsite.
(1) Go round the back of the campsite and follow the Red Rectangle markings (GR®®5) or the Hohwald waterfall (Blue Disc). Keep the campsite fence on your left.
(2) When you reach the waterfall, head down to the viewpoint. There is a table and benches there. To set off again, go back up the way you came down. Take the path opposite, “Chaumes des Vaux”, marked with a Red Cross, until you reach the level of the pond.
(3) Turn left and cross the road to take the path marked with Red Cross symbols into the forest.
(4) When you reach a junction, turn left, following the Blue Crosses towards Hohwald.
(5) As you leave the forest, you’ll come to a tarmac road (watch out for passing vehicles). Turn right. You can see our starting point below.
(6) Just before reaching the main street, you can stop for refreshments at the Auberge du Moulin before returning to the cars.
Return to the car park opposite the Grand Hôtel255 (S/E).
