Mordreuc - La Vicomté-sur-Rance circular loop

The start and finish are at the Mordreuc slipway. There is a car park near the entrance to the village.

(S/E) Start by walking along the beach for 100 to 200 metres and then go up a small path that curves to the right. You are now on the coastal path, which is marked as best it can be. To sum up, you should take the right at every intersection, unless you are clearly going down to the beach.
This will take you to a viewpoint overlooking the Moulin du Prat.

(1) At this point, there is a short path on the right that is only worth taking for the view of the Moulin du Prat. Instead, take the path on the left for a few metres before turning right to descend to a small stream.

(2) There, turn completely right and follow a narrow path along a marsh. Note the ferruginous water source.

(3) You will come to a bridge. Cross it, then take the road on the right towards Moulin du Prat.

(4) At Moulin du Prat, follow the path up the hillside on the left. Halfway up, turn right and follow the coastal path. If you do not turn right here, do so just before reaching the top. You will come to a road, take it on the right and continue to follow the coastal path.

(5) Pass under the railway line connecting Dol to Dinan and enjoy a lovely view of the bridge over the Rance. Continue along the coastal path until you reach a river, where you leave the path on your right. Follow the river through the undergrowth until you reach a quiet road.

(6) Turn left onto this road and continue to a roundabout.

(7) Follow Rue du Clos Châtelier, the third road on the right, until you reach a busier road, which you take on the left. After the level crossing, take the second small road on the right (Chemin des Ruettes) and pass to the right of a fence to follow a narrow path slightly overgrown with nettles. At the first road, continue straight ahead until you reach Rue Saint-Anne des Airettes, which you take on the right.

(8) Just at the entrance to the hamlet of Ville Hervy, turn right onto a small path that descends through the woods to the road leading to Moulin du Prat. When you reach this road, turn left and continue for about 100 metres.

(3) Cross the bridge again and follow the small path in the other direction.

(2) At the end, turn right and walk up alongside the wall surrounding the Quincoudre manor house. When you reach a road, turn left and continue until you reach a sharp left-hand bend.

(9) Turn right onto a path in a field and, after about 200 metres, turn left onto Chemin de Mordreux and Chemin des Bords de Rance. When you reach a road, turn right.

(10) At the next intersection, turn left, then left again a little further on. At the roundabout, turn right to reach Mordreuc and its slipway (S/E).
