Go to the Château de la Chasse car park located in the commune of Montlignon, on the D909. Park in the car park opposite the park entrance.
(S/E) Go up the road (Chemin de Montlignon au château) to the first lake, go along it on the right and continue on the Route du Pont d'Enghien. Go past a crossroads, about 60 metres further on, and take the right-hand lane (in wet weather or after heavy rain, the central lane is too muddy, so take the parallel paths to keep your feet dry; this advice applies to the entire route).
(1) Follow this path uphill to a crossroads, turn left and follow the yellow signs. This path climbs up to a road, Route du Faite. Cross it and descend towards Domont. Take the path on the left and leave the yellow markings, but you will quickly find them again. These markings pass through a section of road, which we avoid by turning left. Continue straight ahead until you reach the Carrefour Pigalle.
(2) You will arrive at a forest road. Leave it by turning right after about 60 metres onto a small path that descends and then climbs back up towards the forest road. Follow it to take the path on the left between lots 27 and 29. This path will take you back to Route du Faite. Turn right onto it. Follow this road to Carrefour de la Pointe.
(3) Turn left onto the forest road that descends to the Route tournante du Bois du Roi, turn left and then right onto Chemin de la Fontaine.
(4) At the next crossroads, turn left and follow this road until you reach a T-junction. Turn left, as the road may be muddy in wet weather: a parallel road zigzagging more or less parallel to the main road will keep your feet relatively dry. Follow this road until you reach the forest road.
(5) Turn right. Follow this road until you reach a Y-junction, turn left, then turn left onto Route du Plumet. Continue until you reach Route des Fonds, then turn right.
(6) After the Château de la Chasse, which you will see behind you, take the path back towards the ponds, turn left to follow the pond and, at the end, return to the car park (S/E).
