Perthus and Ravin de Mal Infernet circular loop

The route follows the Perthus trails through cork oak, eucalyptus, arbutus, myrtle and juniper trees and, in spring, beautiful asphodels. The return journey is via the Ravin du Mal Infernet, lined with spectacular columns of red rock. Two small lakes mark the route.

(9) At a right-hand bend in the track, take the path down to the left. Cross the Ruisseau du Ravin des Trois Termes stream.

(10) At the crossroads, turn right onto the path and follow the stream to Lac de l'Écureuil.

(11) Take the middle path and immediately turn right onto the path that runs along the edge of the dry Lac de l'Écureuil.

(12) Turn left onto the track, cross the ford and continue along the stream.

(13) Descend a path on the right, cross an iron footbridge and climb the path to Col Aubert, which you passed on the way there.

(4) Turn left onto the path and you will come to a fork.

(14) Turn left, go around Pic du Baladou and return to the Col de Belle Barbe car park (S/E).
