The starting and finishing point is the car park next to the old railway station in Saint-Étienne d'Albagnan.
It can be reached by car by turning right shortly after entering St-Étienne d'Albagnan (if you are coming from Olargues)
and following Rue de la Gare to its end (dead end).
(S/E) Take the greenway towards Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (south-west) for about 300 m, just after the junction with a path coming from the right, until you reach a crossroads.
(1) Leave the greenway, which continues straight ahead (this is the return route), and turn left onto a descending path to reach the village of Saint-Étienne d'Albagnan via Rue du Rec and Place de l'Église, then Rue de l'Église. Join the D908 departmental road at a stop sign.
(2) Follow it towards Saint-Pons-de-Thomières for about 100 metres, cross the departmental road and head towards the stone bridge. Take the stone bridge of St-Étienne d'Albagnan on the left. On the D176E, after crossing the bridge, take a left turn and reach a fork in the road.
(3) Go up to the right. After two hairpin bends, in a new hairpin bend to the left, leave the departmental road and take the forest track opposite. Follow this forest track as it winds its way up to the intersection with another track.
(4) Turn left. This section is not very shaded. The track heads south until it reaches a junction in a left-hand bend.
(5) Leave the forest track, which continues east, turn right and take a narrower path. The trail crosses a track (IGN elevation 501) and, about 400 m further on, joins the Col du Poirier.
(6) At the pass, take the climb to the left, GR®77, towards the highest point of our hike and a junction.
(7) Continue right on a crossroads that leads straight to the Notre-Dame de Trédos chapel.
(8) Turn back and return to the Col du Poirier.
(6) Take the path you came on for a few metres to the right and join the GR®77, turning left downhill. Stay on the GR®, which further on turns west and reaches the "Les Terrasses du Jaur" campsite. Go around it on the left and join the stone bridge at Prémian.
(9) Cross the Jaur, then cross the D908 departmental road. Turn right, then left. Take Rue de La Gare uphill, then keep right until you reach the "Passa Païs" greenway.
(10) Take the greenway on the right towards Bédarieux for a few kilometres. The route is initially paved for a short section, then stabilised with compacted sand. Return to the initial fork.
(1) Continue straight ahead and join the car park of the old Saint-Étienne d'Albagnan railway station (S/E).
