Departure from the sports ground car park.
(S/E) Opposite the school, turn right towards the roundabout where the Tree of Liberty, planted in 1790, stands.
Go around the roundabout on the right and follow Rue Principale for a few dozen metres. Turn left onto Rue de l'Orée du Bois and, at the bend, go straight ahead onto the path that leads to the old Tours/Le Mans Roman road.
(1) Turn right. At the junction with Rue Principale, cross the road and continue straight ahead, passing the Ruisseau se St-Roch stream.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin de la Sourisserie, which joins Rue de la Pêcherie. Turn left, then keep right at the three-way junction to take Chemin de Villegreuil. Continue straight ahead until you reach Rue des Terrages.
(3) Leave the marked path and continue straight ahead. Follow a short section of road at a place called La Baste, then leave it at the bend and take a path towards Les Chairières. Cross the hamlet.
(4) At the crossroads, turn right and 10 metres further on, turn right again onto Chemin de la Balangerie and join Route de la Pinsonnière.
(5) Cross and continue straight ahead on Rue des Malabris.
(6) Turn right onto Chemin de la Maison Neuve for about 200 metres, then left onto Chemin de la Pétrie. Continue straight ahead to find the marked path at Plessis d'Enfer.
(7) Continue straight ahead until you reach Chemin des Ruaux.
(8) Turn left and, after 100 metres, take the path on the right. Further on, cross a small road and continue straight ahead. Ignore the path on the left leading to Cour aux Millets and keep to the right until you reach the Pernay road.
(9) Turn right and after 150 metres, follow the path on the left. Ignore the path on the right that runs alongside several ponds and continue the route on the left. Turn right at a 90° angle with the path, cross the D 36 carefully and take the path opposite that leads to the Roman road.
(10) Turn right. Cross the tarmac road carefully (there is a bend nearby) and follow the path opposite.
(1) Turn right, come out onto Rue de l'Orée du Bois and continue straight ahead to the roundabout. Go straight ahead to reach the car park opposite the primary school (S/E).

A walk taken on a beautiful autumn morning. A bucolic route that alternates between woods and countryside, but the latter is well divided by hedges and copses, making for a pleasant walk. Two points of interest: the tree of liberty, which is the trunk of a dead oak tree, carved in the centre of the village of Saint Roch, and maxims written on slate tiles along the path between points 2 and 3. Nice!
