In the centre of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux, park in the car park behind the tourist office.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, walk up through the village along Rue de Genève to the roundabout and head between the casino and the equipment hire shop.
(1) Pass between the casino and the badge hut before reaching the pastures. Turn right and climb the grassy slope alongside the campsite. Then turn left to follow the hedgerows, then right to find a track (former tram line). Follow the track to the second bend.
(2) Head up to the right, cut across a track and go through the railway tunnel. At the next junction, continue straight on, along the path through the pasture to Les Pierres. Cross the road and continue along the path at the bottom of the valley which leads to En Fouradon and then Les Cloisons. Continue straight on at the first two junctions. You will reach a third.
(3) Turn right onto the forest track, passing the spring (metal trough). You’ll come to another junction.
(4) Pass the entrance to the quarry on your right and head left up the track towards Les Jeannez. Continue straight on to the road and head back down towards the hamlet of Les Poncets and the D437. Continue to the end of the street.
(5) The path veers to the right. Continue straight on along the track. Carry on to Salave de Vent via the Chemin de l'Ancien Chalet (the old cheese dairy on the left, recognisable by the small loophole-style windows on the north-facing façade). Continue to the D437.
(6) Follow it to the right for 20 m. Turn right to cross the hamlet. Then a wide path runs alongside a housing estate and leads, after the fields, to Chemin de l’œuf.
(7) Continue straight on along Rue du Vatican, which joins the D678 at its end, and cross the level crossing. Turn immediately right towards the station until the next junction.
(8) Return to the village centre via Rue Rouget de Lisle on the left. Turn right at the end of the street to return to the starting point (S/E).
