Departure: Coincy Town Hall Square
(S/E) Take Rue Louis Cesson towards the church. Turn right onto Rue du Dauphin, then left onto Rue des Faucheurs. 50 metres after the junction with Allée des Faucheurs, leave the road and take the farm track on the right, heading north-east, and continue straight ahead.
(1) At the intersection at elevation 143, continue along the farm track almost opposite, running alongside fields and woods.
(2) At the Y-junction, continue left on the forest track to the edge of the forest. Take the path on the right at the edge for about 300 metres, then continue into the forest.
(3) Turn left at the junction. At the edge of the forest, the path descends to cross the Ru Lua.
(4) Go up opposite to enter the village of Villeneuve-sur Fère.
(5) Cross the D79, walk along the square, then turn left into Rue du Moulin et des Meuniers, walking alongside the church. Turn left into Rue des Prés Colas (still an unpaved street) and return to the D79.
(6) Cross and continue along the farm track between fields and woods, ignoring the turnings on the left and right. Return to the D79.
(7) Turn left, take the bend on the D79, walking single file alongside the safety barrier (dangerous section of road), then take the path on the left (signposted) to the D310.
(8) Cross the D310 and head left to the Hottée du Diable car park. Spend some time visiting these ruins. Leave the site by taking theGRP® du Tour de l'Omois (red and yellow markings) through the woods to elevation 130 (end of the woods).
(9) At the crossroads, take the path on the left that descends towards Ru Lua for 1.2 km to reach the D310.
(10) Cross the D310, turn right just after the small wood and head towards Coincy
(11) At the first houses, take the second street on the right (Rue Madame Edouard Kann), then turn left into Rue Louis Cesson and pass in front of the cemetery. Then turn right into the cul-de-sac Rue du Coq, cross the footbridge over the River Ordrimouille.
Follow Grande Rue to the left, then immediately turn right onto Rue du Pot d'Étain. Continue by turning left onto Rue de la Vigne Mignot. At the end of the street, turn left twice to return to the car park (S/E).
