Circular route around Plougonver

The starting point is on Place de l'Église.

(S/E) Cross Rue des Écoles and take Rue du Stade in front of you. Ignore the two streets on the right and continue to the crossroads.

(1) Turn left towards the stadium and schools. Continue along this sunken path alongside pastures and fields. Ignore the two paths on the left and then the one on the right. Continue straight ahead to reach a tarmac road at the entrance to the hamlet of Pellegoat.

(2) In front of the signs for the horticultural business, turn right and, after passing the group of houses, look for the small path that starts in front of you at the crossroads. Follow it until you reach an intersection with the D54. Cross it carefully and you will immediately see a path starting on your right.
At the main road, you can turn left and further on, to the right, see the Chapel of Saint-Tugdual and then retrace your steps to pick up the trail again.

(3) Take this path on your right, which runs between two hedges bordering fields and pastures. You will come to a tarmac road. Turn right to reach a crossroads at an elevation of 269 metres.

(4) Turn left and, shortly afterwards, you will find a forest path on the right. Follow it to reach a crossroads with a white path at elevation 258.

(5) Turn left, cross the road leading to Pen Lann an Maou and continue to the junction between Lannamus and Leïn Tan.

(6) Turn left and immediately afterwards turn right. Follow the road through the valley to reach the entrance to Kermaçonnet.

(7) At this crossroads, take the farm track that branches off to the right and climbs slightly. Enjoy the view of central Brittany and the surrounding hills. You will come to a calvary at an altitude of 284 metres.
You can continue straight ahead to reach the summit of Ménez Kerespers, which rises to 320 m, to enjoy a much more panoramic view, or retrace your steps.

(8) Turn right in front of the calvary, pass the Paou farm and then you will come to a road.

(9) Cross it and continue straight ahead on the path between the hedges. Then cross another road (marked by a cross), continue straight ahead ignoring the road on the left, and shortly afterwards you will reach an intersection at an elevation of 241 metres where the road turns sharply to the right.

(10) Turn left onto this farm track and then continue on the right at the junction with a white track. Cross a stream and head back up towards the village. Walk along Impasse du Moulin Blanc and join Rue du Stade. Turn left, arrive at Rue des Écoles, cross it and join Place de l'Église (S/E).
