To get to the start of the hike from Argelès-sur-Mer, take the D618 departmental road towards Le Boulou. As you approach Le Boulou, head towards Amélie-les-Bains, then at the first roundabout, take the fifth exit to park in the car park of the Hôtel du Néoulous, opposite the fire station.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading east on the small tarmac road that runs alongside the D618.
(1) At the crossroads, turn right heading west and follow the Tech river. Continue along this track and pass under the A9 motorway. At the crossroads, turn right heading north-west, then at the next two crossroads, turn left heading south-west. Continue straight ahead on the track that runs alongside the lake.
(2) Ignore the track branching off to the left at the bend at the end of the lake and continue to the right to go around it.
(3) At the crossroads, turn left. Ignore the two paths or tracks on the right.
(4) At the next fork, turn left to walk along the second pond, heading due south.
(5) Turn right towards the south-west and continue along the pond on your right. Ignore a path that branches off to the left further on.
(6) At the crossroads at the end of the pond, turn right, heading north-east. Continue along the pond, passing between the resort's permanent facilities and the pond's shore.
(4) Turn right.
(5) Turn left to reach the bank of the first pond.
(2) Turn left onto the path you took on the way there.
(3) Turn right heading due north. Walk along the pond and turn left at its eastern end.
(1) Turn left at the hairpin bend to follow the path you took on the way there in reverse until you reach the car park (S/E).
