Circular route starting from Tiège

(S/E) At the church car park along the N640 in Tiège, with the church behind you, take the main road to the left. Ignore the ‘Chemin des Halleux’ and take the next path on the left.

(1) Turn left and follow the path to a chapel.

(2) Go down the few steps and turn left. Follow the Route de Chapelle and stay on it until you reach the junction with the Route du Haut Balmoral.

(3) Cross the N629 with care. Further down, leave the road and take the wooded path on the right.

(4) At the bottom of the path, take the hairpin bend to the left and follow the Wayai until you reach Route de Lac de Warfaz. Turn left and follow this road carefully.

(5) After a few hundred metres, cross the road with care and turn right onto Route Stockay, which bends to the right.

(6) Just before the Stavelot bridge, head left and follow the Bois Hé de Sart forest track until you reach a crossroads.

(7) Turn right. Follow this path, which passes under a power line, and keep heading to the right.

(8) When you reach Route Stockay, turn left. Further on, at the junction, turn right.

(9) When you reach the Sainte-Apolline Chapel, turn left and then take Rue de l’École on the left. When you reach the end of this street, cross over and take the path opposite. Cross Avenue Jean Gouders carefully and continue straight ahead.

(10) When you reach the Place du Marché de Sart, walk past the right-hand side of the church, then turn left. Continue straight on, then turn left. Take the path on the right. When you reach the road, veer to the right. Cross the motorway bridge and continue straight on.

(11) When you reach the few houses at Croupet du Moulin, turn left then continue straight ahead. Pass the entrance to the Croupet manor house. Leave the road and continue along the path in front of you. Go under the motorway bridge. Further on, walk alongside the slip road, then turn right and go under the bridge. Take the path on the left. When you reach the Route de Limbourg, head to the left.

(12) Shortly after a cross, take care and follow the ‘Sentier de la Noisette’ to the right. At the road, turn left and return to the starting point (S/E).
