Park in the town hall car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park, cross the D76 (Rue Louis Chanut), and walk up to the right for about 50 metres. Then turn left, go up the street that passes between two houses and turns into a path with steps on one side that climbs steeply.
(1) Continue straight ahead to reach a tarmac road (Impasse des Rameaux), which you follow until you reach the junction with the Route de l'Ollagnière (view of the Dorlay Dam).
(2) At the cross, descend on the left along the path that borders a meadow, then winds before climbing again to join the tarmac road that crosses the hamlet of Ollagnière (beautiful renovated old buildings) on the right. Turn left and join thesecond road on the right.
(3) Take this road which climbs towards Champin, with a view of the Monts du Lyonnais on the left as you leave the trees. Follow the road which climbs in wide bends to reach the centre of the hamlet of Champin.
(4) Turn right and take the stony path that runs alongside a lean-to where you can see an old horse shoeing "work". Follow the path that borders and overlooks a wooded field, continues through the undergrowth and ends in a grassy path, leading to a forest lane.
(5) Take this lane on the right, towards Collet de Doizieux, and you will come to a tarmac road.
(6) Opposite the cross, take the stony path that descends slightly (on the right, view of Doizieux and Saint-Just) and joins a trail intersection.
(7) Turn completely left towards Collet de Doizieux. Follow the forest path through the undergrowth which climbs and joins a tarmac road. Follow this road to the left until you reach the first fork in the road on the right.
(8) Turn right and take the forest path that climbs gently and joins Collet de Doizieux.
(9) At the small pass of Collet, where you will find an inn serving refreshments, take the D63 on the left, follow the bend and descend to the car park on the left (viewpoint over the Rhône and its valley). At the end on the left, take the Haufond forest road and park trail No. 3. Follow it, keeping to the right, pass by the hamlet of Le Châtelard to reach the Croix de Montvieux, discovering other viewpoints along the way.
(10) Cross the D62 and take the gravel path opposite, heading towards Croix de Mazet. At thefirst fork, continue to the right, then at thesecond fork just after, continue to the left (panoramic view of the Monts du Lyonnais and Forez). Follow a forest path through the undergrowth that leads to Croix du Mazet.
(11) Turn left onto the tarmac road, then bear slightly right onto Route du Carré. Follow this road,
pass the animal parks, then continue to the right and pass the animal care farm. Join a natural path that winds and ends on a tarmac road that descends to the centre of the hamlet of Montieux.
(12) Turn left and take the tarmac road down towards Le Maigre. At the fork, follow the left-hand path, continuing along the natural path downhill, cross the stream and go up to the right to the hamlet of Le Maigre. Take the tarmac road and cross the hamlet.
(13) After about 100 metres, take the natural path on the right which leads to a tarmac road called Chemin du Fieu. Follow it straight ahead, cross the hamlet of Le Fieu and continue on the path opposite. At the next intersection, turn right onto the stony path which descends and ends in the hamlet of L'Orme.
(14) Go around the house on the right to follow the tarmac road that slopes to the left. Further on, take the path that climbs slightly to the left, signposted "La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay". Follow the road parallel to it, pass the access road to the Maison de la Tresse and continue to join the D7.
(15) Follow the road to the right, then turn left to reach the town hall car park (S/E).
