Park in front of the sports complex at the southern entrance to Meymans.
(S/E) With your back to the stadium, go up Chemin des Piats on the right. Turn left onto Route du Bois de Baume, pass the Town Hall and the Espace Culturel Rural.
(1) In front of No. 10, turn left onto Route de Pecherot and pass the cemetery. Ignore the turnings on either side and stay on the D522 for almost a kilometre.
(2) Turn right onto Route des Baries, then 20 metres further on, in front of a fire hydrant, turn left onto a dirt track. When the track becomes paved again, follow the right-hand lane (fire hydrant). Shortly afterwards, a track leading off to the right is marked on the map but is no longer visible. Stay on the tarmac, then continue along the stony path through the walnut groves. At the start of a left-hand bend, ignore a vague path on the right and stay on the main path until you reach the access road to Les Thévenons. Turn left to join a road.
(3) Turn right and ignore all the paths leading off to the left and right. The road approaches the motorway, then after a short descent, climbs back up to a crossroads.
(4) Turn right onto Chemin Repalet, then 30 metres further on, turn right again onto a dirt track at the corner of the walnut grove. A little further up, a fork is marked on the map, but the right-hand path is no longer visible. Continue climbing on the main path which crosses a wooded area. You will come to a crossroads on a large esplanade.
(5) Continue straight ahead (ignoring the paths on the right and left) and 20 metres further on, take the slightly uphill path on the right. This path, often blocked by overhanging shrubs that form a tunnel of vegetation, leads to a field near the summit of Blacheronde. Continue downhill through the woods, then come out again to find the tarmac road at a farm (no. 2265).
Continue straight ahead, cross a copse, and at the exit, ignore a vague path on the left that follows the edge of the woods; continue down the road for about 150 metres. Just before the road starts to climb again, look for a small red sign on a tree on the left (ânées de Gilles), and a path branches off to the left a few metres further on.
(6) Leave the road and turn left onto the path. Immediately afterwards, the path splits in two; stay on the left branch, which is less steep (the right branch is not visible on the map).
You will rejoin the tarmac road as you approach the first houses. Follow Chemin de Bellevue downhill to the crossroads (small children's playground on the left). Turn left and join Route du Bois de Baume. Turn right and you will arrive at the crossroads you passed on the way out, at the stop sign.
(1) Continue straight ahead along the same path as on the way out to return to the car park (S/E).
