La Cériège refuge from La Douane
A shaded hike along a mountain path forming part of the transhumance routes (“La Routo”), in a valley that has returned to its wild state between La Javie and Saint-Pierre de Beaujeu. A walk through varied wooded areas where you’ll encounter fascinating wildlife (in spring: orchids including the bee orchid), a visit to a hamlet, now uninhabited, with a basic but always open refuge.
Walk among the oaks, boxwoods and thyme (Crête de Liman)
A very pleasant walk, well signposted and perfectly situated to enjoy the sunshine all day long. The climb takes you through oak woods and offers a beautiful view of the Bléone valley and the Trois Évêchés massif. Reaching the ridge opens up a magnificent view of the Bès valley, the Bélier ridges, the Blayeul and, further afield, the Barles peaks. The descent along the ridge is just as pleasant, winding through thickets of boxwood and wild thyme, whose intoxicating scents add a sensory touch to this beautiful adventure.
The summit of Andran from Digne-les-Bains
A very pleasant walk. Up to (3), there are numerous views of Digne and its surroundings. At the top of the Andran (6), there is a beautiful 360° panorama. On the way back, there is a very beautiful passage before Courbons.
The summit of Andran via the village of Courbons
A very beautiful hike with a trail that gradually climbs, offering beautiful views of the Bléone River, which flows through Digne-les-Bains. The fortified village of Courbons proudly displays its medieval heritage. A break at the summit of Andran (altitude 1,218 m) is a must, as it offers an exceptional 360° view.
