Rocher du Salut Viewpoint

Drive to the car park at the Charade tree-top adventure park “Charade Aventure”, the starting point for this walk.

(S/E) Take the path that passes in front of the tree-top adventure park entrance and runs alongside the golf course. Ignore a path on the left and continue to the “Chemin de la Pauze” junction.

(1) Take the path on the right which leads to the Rocher du Salut viewpoint.

(2) At the viewpoint, retrace your steps for about a hundred metres, then take the path on the right. When you reach an uphill section, turn left to return to the “Chemin de la Pauze” junction.

(1) Walk on for about thirty metres, then take the path branching off to the right to complete a circular route towards the Royat Arboretum. If you carry on straight ahead towards Charade, you’ll return to the starting point via the path you took on the way out.

(3) At the junction, take the path leading uphill to the left and ignore the path on the right signposted “Arboretum de Royat”. Continue the walk straight on until you reach the car park where you started (S/E).

A walk of about an hour, entirely in the shade (except at the viewpoint), with no particular difficulties, suitable for children.
A slightly steep climb of about 50 metres.
