Park in the car park on Place Notre-Dame, opposite the Cadoudal bar-hotel; parking is free.
(S/E) Head towards the Church of Saint-Gildas, go down the street of the same name on the right, then turn left onto Rue Jean-Marie Barré. Continue along Rue Georges Clémenceau, then at the fork, at the Celtic bar, turn right and continue to the roundabout on the main road.
(1) Cross the main road using the pedestrian crossings, continue straight ahead and take the first right, Rue Ker Bourus. After about 100 metres, take the path on the left that runs alongside a housing estate. Go down to the roundabout, cross it and go up the small hill opposite, leaving the road on your left.
(2) Turn right onto the path that descends into the forest. At the bottom of the path, cross the small bridge on the left. Continue along the path that goes uphill and turn right towards the viaduct (Pont Toul er Goug). Pass under the viaduct and walk along the Rivière du Loch. Further on, the path veers off to the left; continue straight ahead to Champ des Martyrs, passing two paths on the left.
(3) Continue straight ahead and pass the car park. Cross the roundabout on the left and take the road opposite (not the first one that goes sharply to the left, but the second one).
Walk 20 metres and take the stairs/path on the left. Continue straight ahead, alternating between the road and the path, until you reach Rue Bertrand Duguesclin. Turn right onto the road, which ends in a path and leads to Rue de la Bataille. Continue to the roundabout on the left.
(4) Cross and continue straight ahead towards La Chartreuse, following the road. Then take the large tree-lined avenue on the right and continue until you reach Route de Pipark.
(5) Turn left and pass in front of Collège Saint-Gildas. Continue along this road, keeping left at the fork. A small path then allows you to pass under the railway line. Take Rue de la Fraternité almost opposite until you reach the departmental road (D765) called Rue Nationale.
(6) Turn left onto Rue Nationale and follow it for about 200 metres. Cross the roundabout on the right using the pedestrian crossing, then take the second right onto Chemin de Kerudo.
(7) At the first crossroads, turn diagonally right onto a path. Continue straight ahead, cross the stream and, 50 m further on, take the path on the left. Then walk straight ahead through the forest for at least 1 km, keeping in the same direction, then turn left to cross the Ruisseau du Reclus. Turn immediately right to reach Avenue de l'Océan.
(8) You are back in civilisation, but not for long. On your left is a roundabout and on your right is the avenue leading up to the shopping area. Cross over, walk up the avenue on the right for 40 metres, then take the path on your left. Walk for about 300 metres, then take the path that climbs steeply up to your right and ends up on a street in a housing estate. Keep left and take the path immediately on your left. Once you reach Rue du Reclus, turn right and then immediately left towards the mausoleum.
(9) At the Cadoudal Mausoleum, take the small path on the left on the other side of the park, which leads down to the bottom of Rue du Reclus. Then turn right and continue straight on to the Chapelle Saint-Cado du Reclus. Continue straight on to take the old Roman road, leaving the chapel on your right. Join Rue Henri Dunant.
(10) Turn right and then immediately left onto Rue du Gaillec. Continue straight ahead uphill and you will find yourself back at Place Notre-Dame (S/E).
