Walk from Nesmy Pottery to Rambourg

A round trip to visit the two tourist sites in Nesmy: the pottery, the legacy of over a hundred years of family expertise, with guided tours organised during the school holidays; and Rambourg Mill, the last intact watermill in the Yon Valley, a magnificent mechanical world worthy of Jules Verne, which can be visited every summer and during special events. It is also possible to visit the gardens of Nesmy Castle in the summer.

Description of the walk

Departure from the stadium car park.

(S/E) Head to Rue du Stade, turn left and then left again onto Rue Georges Clémenceau. The pottery is on the left.

(1) Retrace your steps and continue to the crossroads.

(2) Turn left onto Rue Gilbert Prouteau and follow it until you reach the water treatment plant.

(3) Take the path on the left, cross the Ruisseau de la Planchette stream which flows out of a lake, and continue to Route de la Balangerie.

(4) Turn left onto this road and continue until you reach a fork.

(5) Turn right onto Route de Rambourg, walk past a campsite and arrive at the mill: there are numerous picnic tables and public toilets available.

(6) Turn back and follow the same route you took on the way there to return to the stadium car park (S/E).
