Park in the hikers' car park in Messimy, in the centre.
(S/E) Leave the car park and head towards Avenue des Alpes, then turn right and head towards the historic centre of Messimy. After a wash house, first turn right then left to find yourself on Rue de Verdun, which becomes Route de la Chatelaise. At the second intersection, turn right onto Rue du Chatelard. Go through a barrier to find yourself on a wide path and at the next crossroads, turn left then right into Chemin du Boulaton. At the end of this road, turn left to reach the hamlet of Basse Bruyère.
(1) Follow the main road for a few hundred metres towards Haute Bruyère.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin du Piragoy, then opposite the farm, take the small road on the left which climbs for about 500 m until you reach the road.
(3) After the Belvédère de Piragoy, take the road on the right until you reach the wide path, also on the right, which descends gently through the fields. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Alps.
(4) As soon as you reach the Route des Granges, take the dirt track on your right through an orchard.
(5) After passing the Château du Montus, keep right at the fork. Further down, continue right on Chemin des Vignes until you reach Route de la Bruyère.
(1) Return to Messimy and its historic centre, where you can stroll around before returning to your vehicle in the hikers' car park on Avenue des Alpes. (S/E)
