Parking at the Glashütte farmhouse inn via the road of the same name from Rimbach-près-Guebwiller.
(S/E) From the car park, do not head towards the farmhouse inn but towards the Club Vosgien de Soultz refuge (Glashütte Refuge). Take the wide, carriageable path marked with a red triangle towards Firstacker, which you will reach after crossing a beech forest.
(1) At the Firstacker crossroads, at the central signpost, look for the direction of Col du Haag via Gerstacker marked with a yellow disc. After crossing a small meadow uphill, the path enters the forest and a little further up meets the Route des Crêtes, which you cross with caution to take a wide forest path that leads to the Gerstacker farm.
(2) Pass in front of the farm and continue along the balcony path through the meadow, which is covered with pansies in spring. At the farm, ignore the signs for Ferme du Ballon on the right and Goldenmatt on the left. From the path, which is still marked with a yellow disc, enjoy the view of the Rossberg massif behind the Thann valley and enter the forest.
(3) Ignore a wide path coming from the left and enter the forest to the north, where the slope becomes slightly steeper. Stay on this wide path marked with a yellow disc, ignoring those coming from the right or left, until you reach an intersection with a path leading off to the left marked with a yellow cross and yellow disc. Ignore this path and leave the yellow disc markings, keeping to the right as you climb to reach the Oberer-Sattel shelter a few dozen metres higher up.
(4) From the Oberer-Sattel shelter, continue climbing on the path now marked with yellow crosses towards Col du Haag and Grand Ballon. This path leads to Col du Haag (short crossing of scree).
(5) When you reach the Ferme Auberge du Haag, climb up the small road on the right for about 50 metres to reach the Route des Crêtes. Cross it and take the wide path opposite (signposted "Ferme du Ballon 6 km") marked with a red and white rectangle. Ignore the junctions on the left and stay on the path marked Chemin du Roedelen (sign). Ignore a path coming from the right and pass above the Refuge du Roedelen before arriving at an intersection at a place called Roedelen (1,254 m). Ignore the path descending from the right and the path cutting into the pasture on the left. Continue straight ahead for about 100 metres downhill.
(6) Leave the path and turn sharply left towards Ferme du Roedelen and Ferme du Gustiberg. Leave the path towards Ferme du Ballon. Continue downhill to reach a meadow (Ferme du Roedelen in sight). Head downhill towards the farm (reservoir on the right). Pass in front of the farm, leaving the path coming from the right that leads to Ferme du Ballon. Continue down the path through the meadow until you reach an intersection at the remains of a dry stone wall.
(7) Leave the path opposite, which leads to the Ferme Auberge du Gustiberg, and turn right towards Lautenbach Zell. After entering the forest, you will come to a wide bend crossed by the Kletterbach stream.
(8) Just after the bend, ignore the path leading off to the left towards Lautenbach Zell, which is also marked with a red and white rectangle, and continue straight ahead on the wide path towards Lieserwasen, Judenhut and the Wolfsgrube Pass. Ignore the paths coming from the right and then the left and arrive above the two houses in Lieserwasen at an intersection with a wide carriageway coming from the left.
(9) Continue straight ahead on the wide path marked with a blue cross and signposted Judenhut. Ignore a small path descending from the right, and after 250 m, look for a path veering off to the right marked with a blue cross towards Judenhut. Follow this uphill path to a forest track and continue straight ahead. Continue along this path until you reach a hairpin bend where a wide path climbs up to your left. Take this wide path to the right uphill and you will reach the Judenhut Pass about 100 m further on.
(10) At the crossroads, look for the path on the far left marked with a blue triangle towards Glashutte. Follow it for about 30 metres before turning right onto a path towards Glashutte, Schtolperpfad, marked with a blue triangle and a red and white rectangle. After 50 metres, ignore the red and white rectangle path ahead and turn right towards Glashütte on the path marked with a blue triangle. Continue downhill, crossing a wide forest path twice. Cross the pretty Rimbach bridge and continue downhill towards Glashütte along a pleasant path lined with some remarkable trees to reach the car park
