Park near the village centre on the D2, in the hikers’ car park.
(S/E) Join theGR®7at the church and follow it southwards.
(1) Leave it after it has crossed the road once to take a path marked in yellow opposite.
Follow this path as it climbs through the forest and joins theGR®, then follow it for 500m
(2) Take the path leading down to the left.
(3) At the first junction, turn right to rejoin theGR®7(4) which you will follow for 2 km up to the 860m mark. (5) Then turn right heading north-west for 1 km.
(6) Turn right at a right angle onto a small road, then take the first path on the left, which crosses the forest and joins a road leading to Lamure, which you cross.
(7) At the church, head east, pass the cemetery and turn north at Grand Mazel.
(8) The path leads to L’Aubépin via Le Joly. Walk through the village heading east.
(9) At the cemetery, take the signposted path towards the Chapelle Saint-Pierre.
(10) There, turn left beneath the ruins to cut across a small road; head straight ahead, following a circular loop that passes through Le Vernay and joins St Pierre via the same road on the right. (You can also head straight to the chapel to avoid the circular loop via St Pierre).
(11) Head south-east along a road, then take a path that descends, passing through La Combe where you turn into the farm to reach the D63 and Moulin Bénière. Follow this road for 200 m.
(12) Head south along a track that crosses the river and climbs up to point 697.
(13) Head due east along a path that climbs and crosses Le Sapin to reach point 801.
(14) A signposted path on the left; follow it eastwards to descend to Sainte-Catherine and the car park (S/E).
