Park in the car park on the edge of the D 2, 200 metres west of Sainte-Catherine Church, towards Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise.
(S/E) Go to the church and turn right (south-east) onto the GR®7, which follows the D 126 for about 200 metres before turning right. Pass near the cemetery, then cross the Route du Châtelard twice.
(1) Stay on theGR® and pass the campsite. Continue on theGR® through the Bois du Petit Châtelard and continue to the Fayard signpost.
(2) Leave theGR® and take the path on the right, heading towards Chapelle Saint-Apollinaire for 1 km. At the chapel, follow the signs for La Fayolle for 0.4 km.
(3) At the signpost for La Fayolle, continue straight ahead towards Grand Mazel (0.9 km). At the hamlet of La Fayolle, turn left onto the road for 20 m, then right onto the path towards Grand Mazel.
(4) At the signpost for Le Grand Mazel, turn right towards L'Aubépin 2 km. At the hamlet of Le Joly, take the road on the left, then immediately turn right onto the path that climbs up and takes you to L'Aubépin.
(5) In the village, turn right onto the D 97, Route de l'Indépendance, which curves left then right in the village, then continue on the D 63, Route de Sainte-Catherine, to the cemetery.
(6) At the signpost for L'Aubépin-Cimetière, take the road on the left for 100 metres, towards Grandes Bruyères. At the stone cross, turn right onto the path towards Croix Galant.
At the junction with the D 63, follow the small road to the left for 200 m, heading north-east towards Croix Galand and Saint-Pierre.
(7) At the Croix Galant signpost, take the path opposite that climbs to the Chapelle Saint-Pierre chapel 600 m away.
At the chapel, follow the signs for Le Moulin Benière for 1.8 km.
(8) At the intersection with the wooden cross, turn right onto the small road until you reach a hairpin bend.
(9) Leave the road, take the path on the right, then at the fork take the right-hand path again, which leads to the farms of La Combe. Cross and then leave the road to descend to the right-hand side (south-east) via a footpath to rejoin the D 63.
(10) Turn left and follow it for 100 m. Turn right onto the small road towards Moulin Benière and La Faverge. Cross the Coise at Moulin Bénière, then follow the road uphill for 500 m.
(11) Leave the road and turn left onto a path that climbs eastwards, then turns right at a 90° angle. Cross the hamlet of Le Sapin to join another path.
(12) Take it on the left to descend straight down to Sainte-Catherine and the starting car park (S/E).
