Departure from the new, large car park (Chemin des Châtaigniers) near the town centre.
(S/E) Set off along Chemin des Châtaigniers (tarmac road) towards a small bridge over the Chalerne stream, then continue along the road uphill. At the first intersection, continue straight ahead and join the departmental road. Continue straight ahead for 200 metres. Take care, as there is heavy traffic.
(1) Turn right onto Chemin de l'Estang and Grande Tuiliere.
(2) In the left-hand bend, leave the road and take the stony path on the right.
(3) After the Domaine de la Pérolle on the right, take the first path on the right for a round trip to a beautiful panoramic viewpoint. Enjoy the view, then return down the same path to the Pérolle crossroads.
(3) Take the path on the right and continue until you find a trail on the right.
(4) Leave the path and take the trail on the right. At the small clearing with rock slabs on the ground and cart tracks, continue to the right.
(5) At the junction with a new track, continue straight ahead, then turn left at the intersection with another track.
(6) After the Château Blanc on your right, take the small path on the right that descends below the castle, then continue on the tarmac road until you reach the main road and turn left towards the village. Take care, as there is heavy traffic.
(7) In the village, at the plane trees, continue straight ahead under an archway to the right of the bar, go up and take the first street on the right, then the medieval alleyway.
(8) Pass under the village gate (archway) towards the fountain and the bar, turn right, then after 100 metres, take the first street on the left. Continue straight ahead, then take the Chemin des Châtaigniers (one-way alley) to the car park (S/E).
