Park in the car park at Yvoy-le-Marron church.
(S/E) Turn your back on the church and take Rue de l’Église to the left, until you reach a crossroads. Turn right at the Auberge du Cheval Blanc. Continue for a few metres. Take Rue de Saint-Jean to the left. Continue until you reach a fork.
(1) Follow the Chemin de la Pommelière to the right. As you leave the village, the tarmac road gradually turns into a wide track. Pass a wayside cross on your left. Continue straight ahead, ignoring any side paths. The path is signpostedGR® de Pays de Sologne and the “Voie romaine” sign indicates the direction to take. Continue straight ahead for almost 3 km. On your left, the forest gives way to a vast field. Continue straight ahead through the forest for a few metres.
(2) Leave theGR® and take an unmarked path to the right. This path crosses the Corbeignant, a small stream which may be dry depending on the season. Ignore all side paths. After several zigzags, the path begins a right-hand bend and runs alongside the Tertre estate on the left.
(3) Leave the main path and take a grassy path on the right marked "Route 1". Pass a field on your right. Continue along this rather poorly maintained path. Walk alongside the Étang des Ruaux on your left. You can climb up the embankment for a lovely view of the pond. Reach its end.
(4) Turn slightly right onto the path signposted “Vers Yvoy”. Pass the Rigoubert estate on your right. Cross a wide track leading to this farm and continue straight on.
(5) Continue straight ahead. The “Route 1” sign indicates the direction to follow. Ignore the side paths.
(6) Continue along the main grassy path. This branches off to the left. Cross the D104, then, further on, the D88. Continue straight on towards Fontenailles to reach an intersection very quickly.
(7) Take the straight path on the right, following the “Route 1 and 2” signposts. It runs alongside a vast field on your left. You’ll reach another crossroads as soon as you enter the woods.
(8) Take the path on the right. It leads onto another, wider path. Follow this to the right until you reach the D35.
(9) Turn right onto this road, then left before the tennis courts to return to the starting point (S/E).
