(S/E) Start at the bottom of Bassussary golf course on the banks of the Nive river next to the equestrian centre.
Follow the towpath to the crossroads at the "Notre Dame de la Nive" house.
(1) Turn left and continue along the track to the car park.
(2) At the end of the car park, leave the new track on your left and go around the technical centre on the left.
(3) Take the path that leads into the woods.
(4) You will come to a wash house just before the Herauritz neighbourhood
(5) At the square, take the small road on the right that descends to the corner of the castle. As you descend, you will come across a second fountain. Continue to the main road.
(6) Follow it to the right. Walk along the road on the right-hand side through the grass to reach an intersection.
(7) Take the small path on the far right that runs alongside the field and continue until you come to a cross.
(8) Follow the path after a farm.
(9) At the crossroads, turn right, cross the ford and continue along the main path into a clearing (pidgeon hunting hut) and a farm. Turn left and you will find yourself back on the towpath (ignore the no entry sign).
(1) Turn left and follow the towpath to the starting point (S/E).
