A very easy walk, even with young children.

A disappointing route. You can hardly see the River Nive, as it’s hidden by the vegetation. It’s suitable for joggers or families as the paths are well-maintained. However, a visit to the Maison des Barthes and the Natural History Museum is well worth it. Bear in mind the opening times on Sundays, as the gate doesn’t open until 9.30 am (it actually opened at 9 am, which is earlier than the time stated) instead of 8 am on weekdays.

A very easy but very interesting walk, with a museum explaining the site and the animals.
The exhibition on spiders was very informative too.
The path continues a little further, but you can’t cross over to the other bank – what a shame!!!

There weren’t many people on the trail because it was Sunday morning when the site opened.
