Start : Car park located at Roussillon village southwest entrance.

(S/E) Exit the car park and turn left on Gordes road. When you reach n°291, turn left (South-East) and keep walking along the road and houses. Leave private roads going down to the right towards houses. After those junctions, take right when the road splits in half. Go downhill until you reach an open area at the bottom of the road. Keep the sewage plant on your left-hand side. Carry on straight on the path while "admiring the ochre cliffs on your right-hand side".
(1) At the end of the path, enter the wooded area in front of you. At the beginning, the path isn't obvious (it winds between the trees) then, it slowly becomes more and more obvious as you enter the ochre walls (superb red and yellow canyon). The path goes down the bottom of the canyon, however, bear left taking the steep path (difficult area) for about 50 meters through the red ochre cliff until you reach a road.
(2) Turn right and at the junction, walk along Avenue Jean Étienne Astier (towards Bonnieux). Go past Saint-Joseph car park on your right-hand side. At the roundabout, walk along D104, towards Murs Gordes Apt.
(3) As you reach n° 400, 402, 404, 406, take the footpath on the right (South), between houses. As you reach a road, turn left (South-East) onto the Chemin des Marquets. The road becomes a gravel path. Carry on the same way. The path will become narrower and will go down to the left.
(4) The path will split in half. Ignore the path made of stones going up to take the path going downhill on the right. Stay on the gravel path. Join a path going toward several houses. Go down this path, always keeping straight ahead until you reach the road.
(5) Take right (South-West) here. Crosse over the road junction towards Les Huguets hamlet. At the waymarker, Les Huguets, walk towards Goult. As you enter the hamlet, stay left on the pavement and keep walking along the Chemin des Plaines.
(6) Just before Saint-Sers Sud waymarker, turn right (North-West) onto the gravel path along the cypress hedge. At the road junction, turn right (North).
(7) Reach the road nearby Savone and cross it straight ahead to carry on walking along the gravel path. The road goes uphill (North-West). After going past a house built with stones, at the path junction, turn right, yellow waymarkers. Keep following the yellow waymarkers (the main footpath is first graveled then paved), ignoring paths going left and right, until you reach the Route de Goult (D104).
(8) Turn right (East) along D104 and then left along Chemin de la Garenne (still following the yellow waymarker).
(9) As you reach the top of Chemin de la Garenne, ignore the yellow waymarker on the right and carry straight on. The path becomes a footpath bearing right. In the distance, admire views of the Roussillon village and the ochre cliffs. Reach Chemin de la Garenne a little further down again where you turn left (North) and at the junction, carry straight on Goult road, then on the Avenue Jean Etienne Astier.
(2) Walk past the junction already walked when you started and carry on the D105 until you reach Roussillon. After going past the ochre cliffs, carry straight on to visit the village. Walk up to the castle and walk through the colorful streets. Go back down to the car park by taking the Passage du Mistral or the Rue des Lauriers (S/E).
