Arouca walks
Paiva footbridges
Hike along the Paiva footbridges trail, passing the 516-metre-long Arouca footbridge.
In March, there are very few people, which is ideal for the location (as you have to pass others on the steps).
To do the round trip, you need to start from Areinho. There is a car park below the road and a bar-restaurant (with toilets) offering provisions for the hike, so it’s the perfect starting point. The steps begin very soon after setting off.
The site offers a taxi service to take you back to the starting point.
